Naugatuck is at a pivotal point when its remarkable history has the opportunity to become an extraordinary future.

Renaissance Place is a public/private partnership that will transform our downtown area into a vibrant live/work/play environment.  Downtown residents will be able to walk from home to stores, restaurants and theatres; resident and visitors alike will travel in trolley-like jitneys around the Borough; and local businesses will enjoy economic growth fueled by visitors from out of town.  At the same time Renaissance Place will honor and celebrate our history, retaining the beauty of historic buildings and constructing new ones that compliment existing structures. 

This vision of the future is supported by the vast majority of Naugatuck residents and it is a vision I am committed to ensuring becomes a reality. 

It is a vision which creates an outstanding public/private partnership that will work together to transform and re-energize our downtown area. 

It is a vision that combines the best principles of smart-growth and transit oriented development to create a "green" environment we can all be proud of and that will last for generations to come.
